Being in charge is a coveted position, but when it comes to the nitty-gritty it isn’t the easiest place to be.  If you are in a leadership position- whether it’s a manager, president or one of the C-suite- one of your duties is to facilitate your relationship with co-workers and employees as well as giving the feedback and advice.

Of course there are many ways to go about it, but Kim Scott’s Radical Candor is a helpful guide on how to navigate those sticky situations: doling out criticism, settling personal disagreements and guiding your employees to becoming their better selves.  More importantly, Scott insists that in order for you to have any success as a leader, you need to genuinely care about the people you’re working with and be willing to be honest with them.
